What if I told you that most people are standing in their own way?
Imagine yourself in a boat on a river. You’re sitting in a boat holding oars in both hands. THE STREAM of the river is moving fast. But instead of going with the stream, YOU’RE PADDLING AGAINST THE STREAM. You’re using all your efforts to move forward. You get very tired. It feels hard. And yet it doesn’t even occur to you that if you just let go of the oars, your boat would easily MOVE WITH THE FLOW…
Well, this is what we so often do when it comes to our GOALS AND DESIRES. Instead of going with the stream, we’re going UPSTREAM.
But here’s the truth:
- NOTHING THAT YOU WANT IS UPSTREAM!
If we only ALLOWED ourselves to GO WITH THE STREAM, the stream would take us where we want to be. With ease and without big struggle.
But we seldom allow ourselves to go with the stream. We PADDLE UPSTREAM – we push, we stress, we get tired, we say it’s hard, we may even want to give up…
In the same way as your boat is either going with the stream or against the stream, you’re thinking THOUGHTS that either let you GO WITH THE FLOW or AGAINST THE FLOW.
When you’re thinking UPSTREAM THOUGHTS, the journey towards what you want is HARD. When you’re thinking DOWNSTREAM THOUGHTS, the journey becomes much more EASY and enjoyable.
How do you know if your thoughts are UPSTREAM or DOWNSTREAM?
Your FEELINGS will tell you in every moment if you’re GOING WITH THE FLOW or AGAINST THE FLOW. Yes, you’ve got a guidance system inside of you – your FEELINGS.
When you FEEL doubt, worry, impatience, fear, disappointment or confusion, you’re always MOVING AGAINST THE STREAM. When you are frustrated and you’re complaining how hard it is – you’re MOVING AGAINST THE STREAM.
Whenever you WANT something, but you’re NOT FEELING GOOD, you’re GOING UPSTREAM. Here’s the thing: You’re not going to get what you want when you’re moving upstream!
You’ve got to LET GO OF THE OARS. You’ve got to get back into THE FLOW.
You’ve got to find back to peace, satisfaction, excitement, joy, positive expectation, appreciation. You’ve got to find back to FEELING GOOD!
Whenever you FEEL GOOD, you’re going WITH THE FLOW. You’re in flow with life. You allow yourself to move WITH EASE. You take action and it’s EASY. There’s no fight. There’s no resistance.
- EVERYTHING THAT YOU WANT IS DOWNSTREAM!
Go with the FLOW! Choose to FEEL GOOD as much as you can, as often a you can.
Yes, stuff will happen. Unplanned obstacles will cross your way. Problems will arise. Challenges will appear. You can’t avoid that.
But you can always CHOOSE what you’re going to THINK about what‘s happening. You can always CHOOSE thoughts that make you FEEL GOOD.
Yes, you can always get back to THE FLOW whenever you find yourself paddling against the stream.
When you FEEL GOOD, you’re GOING WITH THE FLOW.
